1992 Nissan Silvia Q’s Club

Stock Number: 4300

There is something to be said about clean, unmodified, vehicles these days. With the rising popularity of the S13, it’s nearly impossible these days to find one that’s been left untouched or in this clean condition. The factory body lines need no help despite the hundreds of different aero options available on the market today. While the timeless design is loved by all, it’s the color that makes this car so special. Purpleish Silver Two-Tone (1K4) is comprised of Purple (LH1) on top and the bottom portion in Gray (463) which was an extremely rare color combination. Less than 200 Q’s Club Super HICAS Series 2.5s were built, and who knows how many may be left today. The paint looks excellent and really has a different shade depending on the angle and lighting. The color is unlike anything that we typically see here stateside. Pair that with its very well maintained body and you have one heck of a car. For being 27 years old the body is in remarkable shape with only a few typical door dings to note. While the stock car looks good, I think we can all agree that the factory ride height is a bit excessive. Adjustable coilovers get the ride height dialed in over a killer set of 16″ Desmond Regamaster Evo wheels. A classic car like this deserves to be on classic wheels, not some XXRs.

Just like the body, the interior has been kept pretty much all stock as well. A deep-dish steering wheel replaces the clunky stock one and that’s about the only changeup. The factory buckets have held up very well with only some general bolster wear to the driver seat which can be noted in the photos. The rear seats, on the other hand, appear to have hardly had any use. All around the interior has been kept free of any notable stains. Both the seats and carpets are free of any unsightly rips or tears. Like all S chassis the dash does have it’s typical crack, however, a fully form-fitted dash mat was fitted to help prevent further damage and clean up the look in general. While the interiors weren’t known for being lavish they do have all of the modern equipment one would want in a daily. Power windows, mirrors, door locks, and automatic digital climate control make your daily commute a bit more enjoyable.

The naturally aspirated SR20DE is an often overlooked motor. They make great torque and put up better fuel economy numbers than its turbocharged sibling. Not to mention these are known to be more reliable since they’re not as strung out. When you pair the torquey little two-liter up with the 4-speed auto it makes for a surprisingly fun pair. Since the gearing is a bit different from the 5-speed cars you stay in the powerband more. And for the times you want to get on it a bit more the trans does have a selectable power (as well as snow) mode which will hold you in gear longer. The trans engages quickly and shifts are pleasantly crisp. The SR turns right over thanks to a full mechanical servicing. A new fuel sock and filter, along with a fresh set of plugs, a new MAF and alternator, as well as the serpentine belt, air filter, and lastly a routine oil change. Now that it’s been fully serviced its new owner shouldn’t have anything to worry about for quite some time. This nimble chassis doesn’t need gobs of power to be fun. Thanks to its lightweight, high revving, nature this would make for an ideal daily driver. The only thing it’s missing is a new route to work.

*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB complaint first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K. Additional information can be found on the California Air Resources Board website.
