1993 Honda Del Sol Captiva Blue
For all of the Honda fans out there, we just got in this slick little Del Sol SiR. This well kept 1993 landed with only 91k miles on it. Finished in Captiva Blue Pearl (B62P) The body has been kept in excellent condition, free of any notable dents or dings. The paint shows well with, with the exception of some clear coat oxidation on the boot and bonnet. The exterior has been kept all stock and really does look great, down to the factory wheel covers. With as rare as these cars are becoming, clean unmodified examples are getting tough to find.
The interior shows just as well as the exterior does. The seats have been kept up well and are quite comfortable despite the slim appearance. The color matched insert makes for a subtle touch that really pops. Peering behind that at the 8200 RPM redline makes it a bit of a challenge to keep your foot out of it, so you’ve been warned. The interior really shows little signs of wear, the largest imperfection being worn door cards, located by the following edge of the sill. Otherwise the interior is free of any notable rips, tears, or stains. The SiR has lockable rear storage compartments behind the seats which is a nice little bonus due to the physical size you’re working with. The manual climate control blows nice and cold.
Under the hood the B16A has been kept all stock. The 1.6 liter is a hearty power plant rated at 170hp, in such a light car makes it a blast to throw around. The Trans Top was only offered in Japan which is a power version to the removable targa top. In our car the top is only able to be operated the old fashion manual way. We can assist in sourcing parts to replace the assembly if you wish. This SiR appears to have really been cherished by it’s previous owner based on how great it’s been kept up over the years. All of the original books and service records were included from Japan. The 5 speeds shifts fantastic and has a very easy clutch engagement. Recent maintenance includes new valve cover gasket, and a new 12v battery. Additionally, two new tires have been mounted and balanced by one of our trained technicians.
