Welcome to our guide to installing SignSite supplied graphics to your vehicle.
If you have any further questions, please contact your administrator for assistance.

All of SignSite’s vehicle graphics are made from premium vinyl to ensure the finished product exceeds your expectations.

Before installing your SignSite supplied vehicle graphics, please make sure the vehicle is
• Clean
• Dry
• And in an area that is protected from the elements (eg wind/dust/rain etc)
It is also important to know where the graphics are going to be installed prior to installation

To install your SignSite supplied graphics, first you will need your SignSite Install Kit.

Inside this kit you will find;
A container of Prep Sol
2 Blue Rags
Tape Measure
Squeegee

The first step will be to prepare the vehicle and remove any existing decals or stickers.
You can try to peal the sticker with your fingers. Usually if they are not too old and the vinyl is good quality, this should work. Or if the decals are very old and it does not come away easily, you can use a heat gun to help soften the glue. Once the old stickers are completely removed, you will need to make sure you remove any residual glue that may have been left on the vehicle. This can be done using the supplied Prep Sol liquid.

You will also need to clean the area where the graphics are going to be placed using the supplied Prep Sol. Spray this onto the rag and wipe down. Make sure the vehicle is wiped down and dry when finished.

To begin installing;

1. Tape the graphics onto the vehicle in the correct location. Place the tape in the top corners on either side of the graphic. These pieces of tape will be your markers later on.
2. Once you have your vinyl straight and positioned correctly, place a piece of tape vertically through the centre. This acts like a hinge, and is the simplest way to install graphics.
3. Rip the left hand side of the graphic away from the piece of tape – so half of the tape is on the vehicle and the rest of the tape is on the graphic. The graphic should now be hinged in the middle with the left hand side of the graphic free.
4. Pull the backing paper away similar to peeling a sticker off. To stop your graphics from sticking to itself, tape the graphics to the vehicle.
5. Now you are free to cut the backing paper away.
6. Take the graphics, and pull tight. Match the tape that is on the vehicle with the ripped counter part still stuck to the graphics. This will make sure the graphics are installed straight.
7. Now apply pressure to the vinyl using the supplied squeegee in an upward/downward motion, working your way from the centre moving outwards.
8. Remove the vertical piece of tape through the middle
9. Repeat steps 3 – 7 on the right hand side
a. Rip tape
b. Pull back graphic
c. Secure and remove baking paper
d. Match the ripped tape markers
e. Squeegee graphics onto the vehicle
10. Now carefully remove the Application Tape by pulling tight with even pressure

Now that your graphics are installed, here are a few tips for the care of your graphics

Care Tips
• Do not put your vehicle through a Car Wash. This may damage the graphics and you may end up loosing them in the wash
• If you do wish to clean your vehicle, wash gently with warm soapy water and a sponge. This will ensure the graphics are not damaged
• Try to avoid parking or leaving your vehicle in direct sunlight for extended periods of time, as this may cause the graphics to fade or deteriorate faster than normal
