1991 Nissan Silvia Q’s
Stock Number: 4118
This super clean Nissan Silvia Q’s has just arrived and is ready to go! The exterior is finished in Nissan’s Ivory White and Gold two-tone (5H6) which is a particularly desirable color combination. It’s hard to believe that the entire car remains completely stock, just as it was in 1991. The paint is in excellent condition and is free of any discoloration or clear coat fade. This color combo is a real classic look that never really seems to date itself. It’s even harder to believe that it’s only amassed 44K verified miles over its 28-year span. It’s obvious that this vehicle was clearly cherished by its previous owner back in Japan. The optional triple projector headlights are in great shape with no cracks and the OEM rear wing was only offered on Japanese models. The body has been equally well cared for over its time with only some minimal door dings.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find an equally well-preserved interior. The most impressive part is the dash which is in phenomenal condition. Anybody familiar with the S13 knows how prone these are to cracking. The seats and fabric were all well cared for with none of the typical bolster wear. The bolstering is supportive, without feeling restrictive, and is quite comfortable for longs cruises. The seats show only minimal wear and are free of any major stains. The door panels are in equally good shape as they have a tendency to peel over time. The carpet and headliner are both in excellent shape and have no rips or major stains and still taught with the ceiling. While all the tactile pieces are in good shape, so are all of the powered accessories. Power windows, door locks, mirrors are all operational as expected. These even came fitted with automatic climate control. The only change-up comes by way of an aftermarket radio that was removed. Since they don’t offer much use here in the states most people wind up swapping them out regardless.
The Silvia Q’s was equipped with the SR20DE engine and fires to life instantly. Revs are smooth throughout the RPM band with no hesitation. People tend to sleep on the non-turbo SR20s, Nissan built them to have great torque down low and to be quite reliable. Plus in going with the NA route they also tout much better fuel economy. After all, these were built to be daily drivers, even it this one may not have been treated as such. Shifts through the 5-speed manual transmission are crisp and show no signs of grinding or slipping. The power is easily delivered out back and make this an ideal candidate for a daily driver. The stock suspension is more than comfortable yet stays planted when you decide to have a little fun. To ensure that everything is mechanically up to par we’ve gone over it and updated several routine items. A fresh battery for the cold months ahead, a new fuel pump, 4 sticky new tires, and a standard oil change has everything running in tip-top shape. Whether you’re looking for a clean daily or a pristine start to a show car the Silvia is more than capable. There’s a reason why these cars have become a cult classic and this gem is a great example as to why.
