Car Care Tips for the Busy Mom
To kick off National Car Care Month (April), car expert Courtney Hansen shows women how to tackle routine maintenance on their own to save money and keep vehicle running safely.
WHY: Rushing from work to get to soccer practice, to ballet, with errands in between, moms don’t often take the time to think about their vehicles until there’s a problem. According to a new survey conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of Toyo Tires, nearly half (45%) of the mothers surveyed said it is difficult to keep up with the recommended maintenance of their vehicle because they didn’t have enough time in the day.
But in preparation for National Car Care Month (April), working mom and auto expert Courtney Hansen will be demonstrating a few tips even the busiest moms can find the time to perform.
Courtney provides tips and demonstrates some easy car care maintenance that any mom can do and that will keep her vehicle running smoothly, keep her family safe and help save money.
Courtney will demonstrate a few of the basics specifically for moms:
* Tire pressure & penny test – check the safety of your tires within seconds using a coin
* Changing wiper blades – you can’t drive safely if you can’t see!
* Emergency kit – what goes in it (flares, jumper cables, antifreeze and more)
* Quick cleaning tips – from headlights to the interior, a clean car can mean a safer car
