SWITZERLAND

As I transitioned to a completely new country, new people, and unfamiliar language, I was faced with some big challenges. I was put into a new scenario that forced me into a new phase in my life. But, the minute I opened my eyes and explored my surroundings, I felt incredibly blessed to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Whatever lay ahead, I was ready for because each challenge was a rewarding experience. This is just a small part of my rewarding experience. Wondering through the cities: Zurich, Rapperswil, Luzern and Bern. An inspiring, serene life. Everywhere I went, I felt on top of the world. The fresh mountain air, beautiful lake waters, and being surrounded by positive energy and romance. I remember my first week. I took Tram 13 to the last stop. When I walked out, I had the beautiful sight of the Alps right in front of me. I felt incredible. That was the moment I thought there is just so much beauty left to see in the world and amazing cultures to learn from. The transportation system was the best transportation I have ever come across. Trams, trains, boats, buses, cycling was so easy to get around to any place. I never had a day where I wished I had a car. The streets, so clean and taken care of overnight no matter how big of a parade there was. The people are shy and reserved yet very welcoming and friendly once you say hello.

When you live abroad and transition into a whole new world, something inside of you changes. Whatever it is, it is always rewarding. I was gifted with a new kind of freedom that required bravery, I was gifted with new beginnings that required strength, and I was gifted with a journey of curiosity and excitement.
